The universe (mama) speaks to me in many different ways, its like a poem only me and her resonate with. In 2017 she spoke through herbs and I listened but still proceeded with doubt. In 2018, I launched my first business “Herbal Remet” where I supported my community through herbal work and juices.
Shortly after, I became pregnant with my first born child Nomi Kai which led me down a path of needing to be home to support her. Then MAMAGAWD was born. When I was about 6 months pregnant I realized that my journey was much more than me and that it was ESSENTIAL for me to work through my trauma because birth work and herbal work were clinging onto my entire existence. I studied and took classes but this wisdom, ohh this wisdom comes from an ancient knowing. The plants they speak and I listen. These mamas they roar and I’ll be there to guide them to themselves. To DIS-EASE is to honor yourself anything else is only self violation.
I believe spirit transcends and that life exists beyond this realm so to cleanse this vessel is to cleanse the soul. The holistic way is a lifestyle for me, it will be for my daughter, and her daughters. MamaGawd wasn’t just birthed it was a calling towards awakening to my roots. MamaGawd’s birth is a welcome home. I believe to achieve true freedom is to have complete control over your vessel. In order to make the world a better place we must first make our temples better places, which means the things we consume be it food, herbs, media etc should reflect the lives we want to live. My goal is to bring us back to our ancestral selves and awaken the ancestral practices that lie dormant within us as far as health, birthing, and healing.
